A MOTHER and her two children escaped a fire in their North Yorkshire home after flames spread from a neighbouring garden shed.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue crews was called to the incident in the village of Rainton, near Boroughbridge, shortly after 3am yesterday.
Thee three were taken to hospital suffering from “slight smoke inhalation” according to a spokesman for the fire service.
The flames started in a garden shed and spread to the exterior eaves of the house.
The property suffered water damage to the bathroom and a child’s bedroom.
