A MAN was taken to hospital after losing consciousness while driving.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said they were called by paramedics to Barlby Road, Selby, at about 8.15am yesterday, after a man, aged 45, drove off the road.
The police spokesman said the man’s car, a Rover 200, hit a road sign and fence in the crash, and he was unconscious when they arrived, but regained consciousness before being taken to hospital.
The extent of his injuries and his current condition are not yet known, but the police spokesman said no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
