HUNDREDS of bikers from East Yorkshire are expected to take part in a convoy to protest against new European Union regulations this week.
The ride will take place on Sunday, and is planned to coincide with 70 more similar events which are due to take place around the country.
The proposed new regulations would enable police to pull over motorcycles for roadside checks, and could prevent bikers from modifying their machines.
A new rule in France would also require all motorcyclists, including visitors, to wear high-visibility or reflective clothing, and prohibit filtering between cars in traffic jams, which the Motorcycle Action Group also intend to protest against.
The bikers are due to leave the Willerby services westbound on the A63 at 1pm on Sunday, to ride along the motorway in convoy.
