TOP riders will be in action when the annual York Cycling City races are held tomorrow, writes Victoria Stathers.
York’s largest cycling club, Clifton CC, and City of York Council are hosting the second outing of the races, which will see cyclists battling it out over a closed course which includes Blake Street, St Sampson’s Square and Goodramgate, before sweeping past the Minster to complete the lap at Duncombe Place.
The Elite race field includes double Commonwealth gold medal winner Malcolm Elliott and 2009 British Road Race champion Kristian House.
Events will begin at 5pm, with the Brompton Team Challenge, while the Elite race starts at 7pm.
