In division two, in-form Faye Hawksby gamed in 22 darts in the singles and then partnered Chris Hayward to secure a 7-4 victory for Cueball ‘A’ against Acomb ‘A’.

Captain Yvette Shepherd and Sam Lewis combined to seal victory for Crystal Palace at Burton WMC.

Karen Stewart and Natalie Whitehead secured victory for visitors Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ by the meanest margin at Leeman ‘B’.

Flag ‘B’ won all the pairs to make home advantage count against Shepherd ‘A’.

Sun Inn’s Cris and Linda Turgoose secured a 7-4 win over visitors Edward VII in division three.

Acomb ‘B’ recovered from a 4-2 deficit to beat Jubilee 7-4. Vicki Rhodes and Kayleigh Thomas snatched the win after Claire Tebbutt had won a lone-hand pairs leg.

Slip saw a 4-2 advantage ebb away as Leeman ‘A’ recovered to triumph 7-4, with Janet Nelson and Debbie Witts teaming up to secure the win.

Kerry Humble was Shepherd ‘B’s long singles success in an 8-3 defeat by Severus, whose Mags Formstone sealed victory.

Dick Turpin hit back from 4-3 down to beat Swan 7-4, with Alison King hitting 122 and 115 while also partnering Jackie Dobson to claim match points.
