DISNEY was the theme of Thorpe Willoughby annual carnival.
The event started off with a parade through the village, led by the carnival queen Hannah Hawkins, to the village green, where there were various activities, including a bouncy castle, tombola and children’s miniature garden competition.
Hannah was crowned by the chairman of the parish council, Graham Jones, who later took a turn in the stocks to be battered with wet sponges.
One of the organisers said: “It was a great event made better by the sunny afternoon.”
