SINCE Grandstand finished on the BBC, the vacant sports slot has remained unoccupied.
How lucky we are now that political leaders like nothing better than a bit of grandstanding. Point a camera at them and off they go.
Viewing figures will remain low until they introduce more action than ping-pong and burger flipping. Come back David Coleman, all is forgiven.
