A SECOND woman has appeared before York magistrates accused of obstructing police investigations into the murder of Mark Webb.
Dawn Heather Coates, 49, of Acomb, is alleged to have perverted the course of justice on March 4, the day Mr Webb died in hospital after he was found in Middleton Road, Acomb with a neck injury. Magistrates sent her case to York Crown Court where she is expected to appear on Friday and released her on bail on condition she does not contact Mr Webb's wife, Susan, and three other people including Brian Cox, 29, no fixed address, who has been charged with Mr Webb’s murder.
Susan Webb, 30, of Middleton Road, Acomb, has already appeared before York Crown Court on a charge of perverting the course of justice during the murder investigation. Both she and Cox will make their next court appearance before Leeds Crown Court on June 6 to enter their pleas.
