YORKSHIRE moved into the final of the ECB Women's Under-17 County Championship with a comprehensive semi-final win over Warwickshire in their semi-final at Huby.
Both teams found scoring on a fairly green wicket difficult but White Rose skipper Rochelle Petty's decision to put Warwickshire in paid dividends.
After a good spell of opening bowling, which featured 4-14 from Holly Richardson, Yorkshire's bowlers kept up the pressure and bowled their rivals out for exactly 100.
However, Yorkshire bowled so slowly that they were docked six overs although that didn't really check their progress.
Opener Amy Burton and LaurenWinfield both fell to impressive opening bowler L Croft but Petty and opener Beth Brown put together a useful partnership until Petty was out for 16.
Yorkshire then lost Sarah Sunderam, who was bowled by I Watson, but Holly Richardson joined Brown, who had batted brilliantly for her undefeated 44, and the pair took Yorkshire to a fourwicket victory.
The final will be held at Loughborough University on September 10.
SCORES: Warwickshire 100 (L Croft 24, L Maxwell 24; H Richardson 4-14, R Petty 2-14, K Briggs 2-20) lost to Yorkshire 1054 (B Brown 44, R Petty 16; L Croft 3-16) by 4 wickets.
