HEARTY congratulations to the talented trio at Fulford School who scooped three of the top five marks in the country for their work in the AQA examination board's English Literature GCSE.
It is gratifying to see Eleanor Gibb, one of the group, give credit to Fulford's head of English, Mark Birch, for helping her and fellow pupils Hanna Wade and Sam Anderson to get their outstanding results. It's clear that he's an inspirational teacher. But this should not detract from the students' outstanding achievement. Hannah, Eleanor and Sam have done brilliantly, and all three should go on to great things.
