THE YORK Beer And Cider Festival makes its return to Knavesmire for the third consecutive year this September, writes Emily Farrow.

The York Branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) has announced the event will return to the site it has occupied for the past two years, between Thursday, September 17 and Saturday, September 19.

Organiser Melissa Reed said the site capacity had increased to accommodate extra visitors, due to the event’s increasing popularity.

She expects more than 250 beers on offer alongside about 50 ciders and perries and a small selection of English wines and foreign bottled and draught beers.
