DETECTIVES investigating a £70,000 raid on a York sports store have released CCTV stills of three suspected burglars.
The offenders are seen inside Rat Race, an outdoor sports equipment store at Clifton Moor, where they stole five Felt Q220 mountain bikes valued at £4,000, 27 Haglof hiking jackets worth £5,000, 44 Mountain Hardware jackets worth £6,700, and more than £1,000-worth of rucksacks and walking boots, plus other items.
The men, believed to be from Cheshire, broke into an office and forced the warehouse door at about 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 9.
Police believe the suspects spent about 90 minutes removing the goods and loading them into a white Ford Transit van.
Detectives have traced the vehicle as one which had been stolen from Pilow Farm Road, in Runcorn.
Anyone with information is asked to phone Detective Constable Kendra Bamber, of York CID, on 0845 6060247, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
