THE FIRST Mini-May Food Festival has been announced for next month.
The festival, which will take place over the weekend of May 28 and 29, will encompass all of Yorkshire-made delicacies, including meat, beer and cheese and organisers say it is sure to be a popular weekend event.
Organisers have announced that there will be a demonstration tent housing some of Yorkshire’s finest culinary talent, including Ashley McCarthy, of The Sun Inne, Colton.
In addition to the festival, York’s Mansion House will play host to an informal dinner on the Saturday evening. Guests are invited to dine with the Lord Mayor and enjoy a seasonal meal courtesy of Michael Hjort, of Melton’s restaurant, York.
