A FRIEND just back from Japan tells me that in visits to three different Japanese cities he never saw one vandalised telephone box.
Oh dear, what a contrast to Britain. On a trip to Hull recently I saw four telephone boxes with smashed or broken glass.
Perhaps it's time to export Japanese crime-fighting methods here? It's certainly time to try something, as the laws we have now are not effective in the least.
