I WOULD like to thank the kind man, woman and young girl who helped my mother when she suffered a bad fall on the morning of April 15.
She fell by the book shop at the corner of Petergate and Goodramgate. Their help and care on that day is very much appreciated. Thankfully, mum is recovering well. It just goes to show that there are still some nice and caring people around. Thank you again.

MAY I thank all the Westie owners who brought their impeccably behaved Westies (25 in all, plus an honoured spaniel as special guest) to my annual Westie Walk on Knavesmire on Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful, everyone was happy and as a bonus we raised £142.11 for Westie Rescue.
