BURNHOLME hit top form as they beat Flag ‘B’ 9-2 in York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one.

Caroline Whittaker closed 64 for a 24-dart leg for Burnholme and that was followed by a 22-dart pairs leg from colleagues Marj Pearson and Toni Smallwood, who hit 140.

Flag ‘B’s Jane Barnes was a double-ton scorer.

Flag ‘A’ held a 4-2 advantage at Walnut Tree, but Clair Cooper started a superb winning run for Tree and Roz Kerr and Beryl Thornham snatched a 6-4 victory.

Tina Platt, Lynne Clapham and Jayne Janes hit the tons as leaders Cueball won 7-2 at Ox, whose Maggie Tottie scored well.

Beeswing’s Nikki Judson gamed in 22 darts, with scores of 140 and 100, and colleagues Chris Hayward and Vicky Sellers then secured victory by the meanest margin at Tramways ‘A’.

Jo Hodges hit the tons in her singles win and was joined by Tramways ‘B’ colleague Ruth Norman as they secured victory in the decider at Slipper.

Cueball ‘A’ closed the gap on division two leaders Clifton to one point as Faye Hawksby inspired the snooker club side with a 73 checkout in a 6-3 win over Severus.

Tap are gaining ground on the leaders after they were prevented from a full house by Acomb’s Carole and Lisa Gatenby.

Division three leaders Acomb beat visitors Swan 9-2, while Mount won by the same margin against Jubilee.

Second-placed Ox suffered at Red Lion as Sonya Love and Niomi Palmer sealed victory.

Natalie Brown was Beagle’s star as they went down 6-3 at Leeman ‘A’.
