A ten-strong team of film-makers from York St John University are on location until today to make a short movie.
The film, being shot in County Durham, is part of their BA (Hons) course in film and television production, but the second-year students also plan to submit the 15-minute piece to festivals in the UK, and director Lorna Martin, 20, will take a press pack to the Cannes Film Festival next month.
The film, Eye On The Ball, is about a family whose relationship difficulties surface during a house move. It stars six-year-old Connor Cooper, from Thornaby, alongside established York-based actors Jennifer Chippindale and Mark Cronfield, as his parents, and Stuart Freestone as a hapless removal man.
