KNOCKOUT duo Thomas Mulvenna and Paul Gordon are focused on transferring top York status to prime Yorkshire standing.
Both York Boxing Club fighters have a date with destiny in Doncaster where each will duel for Central Area titles now effectively Yorkshire crowns under the recent regional re-structuring of amateur boxing.
Mulvenna will be fighting for the vacant cruiserweight crown and his club-mate, who last week beat the national Army champion at Catterick, the vacant light-heavyweight title in ten days’ time.
York BC head coach Billy Wilson said: “Both lads have tough fights for these vacant titles, but both of them are more than capable of winning.”
