YOUNG farmers will be putting their culinary skills to the test in a Ready Steady Cook-style competition on Friday.

The event, organised by The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and East Riding Young Farmers Club, will be held at Bishop Burton College at 7.30pm.

Teams of two people will compete against each other making canapés, starters, main courses and desserts in the college’s lecture kitchens.

They have been given a £10 budget and 20 minutes to prepare.
