A CHARITY shop in York is making an urgent appeal for more donations of bags of clothes from local residents.
Barnardo’s, the children’s charity, starts its Stock Our Stores initiative this week with a request for quality unwanted or unworn clothes, books, DVDs and bric-a-brac to the shop in Front Street, Acomb.
Lindsey Harris, Barnardo’s Yorkshire area business manager, said: “Each bag that is kindly donated to us generates an average of £15.
“We’re in desperate need of more stock so we can raise more money to carry on the life changing work with children and young people in your local area.”
