IT MAY interest residents living within the Fulford and Heslington ward committee area that figures from City of York Council’s neighbourhood management unit clearly show that councillors Ceredig Jamieson-Ball and Keith Aspden agreed to ward spending commitments of £23,840 in February.
Coun Jamieson-Ball’s letter does not explain that schemes were already £2,390 over the pre-cut ward committee funding allocation (Letters, April 7).
After a budget cut of ten per cent by Liberal Democrat and Conservative councillors, the amount awarded will be £19,370.
This means councillors Jamieson-Ball and Aspden will have to agree cuts amounting to £4,470.
Perhaps they could explain which schemes will be cut and their effects?
Owain Gardner, Labour candidate for Fulford ward, Stamford Street East, York.
