ON the Politics Show the other week, voters in a marginal seat gave points to the party they trusted on the economy.
They gave the coalition four, five or six points and Labour two, three or four, saying they could only judge Labour on the past.
However, Labour were ahead in the opinion polls.
The very same people who had a big say which led to their economic failures are now jostling for positions at the top of the hierarchy – Ed Miliband, Liam Byrne and Ed Balls.
Strange old thing, politics, isn’t it?
Labour’s main legacy was an extra million civil servants in government and councils. Bureaucracy is the death of any productive work.
