Children’s authors visit York’s Park Grove Primary School
TWO children’s authors showed York pupils how they write and illustrate their work.
Jim Helmore and Karen Wall, creators of Oh No Monster Tomato and Who Are You, Stripy Horse?, visited reception and Key Stage One classes at York’s Park Grove Primary School.
They showed each class their books, and spent time reading, singing and showing how they write and illustrate.
There are three horse books, which have been read several times on the Cbeebies bedtime story slot. Oh No Monster Tomato has already been used in the school, in the food and growing part of the curriculum.
