IN RESPONSE to Pamela Frankland, I must voice my support for the view taken by Brenda Mackfall (Letters, January 22).

Killing for pleasure is inherently wrong.

These despicable people rear pheasants then set them free to pursue and kill. Until a respect for these beautiful creatures matures in them and they learn to control their blood lust, we have to live with this legal pursuit, but need not condone it.
