THE Blue Bishops will work their mojo at the Bowmans Hotel, Howden, on Saturday night.
Familiar to Howden audiences from their numerous concerts at the Shire Hall, these blues-rock exponents will perform for free this weekend.
“All you have to do to take advantage of this unique opportunity is to just turn up,” says Geoff Grange, the band’s lead vocalist, guitarist and harmonica player.
Grange will be accompanied by Blue Bishops founder Simon Burrett on guitar, slide guitar and vocals, Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame member Jim Rodford on bass and Justin Hildreth on drums.
Rodford is formerly of Argent, The Kinks and The Animals and now combines his Blue Bishops commitments with playing in The Zombies. Hildreth has toured the world with Joan Armatrading, Thomas Dolby and Nina Hagen.
