FRESH flowers and messages have been placed at the riverside in the Clifford’s Tower area of York where a man was found dead in the River Foss.
Family and friends of 35-year-old Dean Findlay have placed new tributes to the father of three, more than three years since his body was found in the river by police, near the Coppergate Shopping Centre, in 2007.
The dedications have been tied to the railings of the River Foss at the spot where Mr Findlay was pulled from the river.
Mr Findlay’s siblings left a touching note with their flowers: “Another Xmas, another year ahead without you. We miss you so much. Love ya longtime Dean xxxxx”.
Despite an inquest into his death, it is still unclear as to how Mr Findlay, from Sutton-on-the-Forest near York, came to be in the river, following a night out with friends in the city.
