I JUST wanted to write and tell everyone what a wonderful husband I have.
During the cold, treacherous weather he has continued to supply his customers with coal (some of whom rely on it as their only source of heat). Over the past few weeks, he has carried up to 170 bags of coal a day, weighing eight stone each, while trying to negotiate icy roads and footpaths. What keeps him working in this weather? Not money, but the commitment to provide warmth to those who need it most at this time of year. I am incredibly proud of him, especially considering the family sacrifices that are made – let’s hope he isn’t working until 10pm Christmas Eve this year.
