A SCHOOLGIRL from York will represent the city in a beauty and talent contest taking place this weekend.
Nine-year-old Kimberley Goodhall will step out in front of the judges in Huddersfield tomorrow for the Yorkshire finals of the Little Miss Community Contest.
The pageant is described by organisers as a celebration of “community spirit, grace and talent” and if Kimberley is declared winner this weekend, she will go on to represent Yorkshire in the national finals.
Her mother, Natalie, said she entered Kimberley for the competition after seeing it advertised on the internet.
“I’m really nervous for her,” she said. “She has never done anything as big as this before.”
Kimberley, a pupil at Huntington Primary School, said: “I’m a little bit nervous, but more exited really.” People can show their support for Kimberley in the competition by visiting its official Facebook page.
