TWO former students of York’s College of Law are celebrating after receiving national awards for their work.
Laura Clark, 24, of Leadley Croft, Copmanthorpe, who was educated at Tadcaster Grammar School and the University of York, won the British Academy of Forensic Sciences Legal Prize, awarded to the students obtaining the highest mark nationally in the litigation part of the College of Law’s legal practice course. She scored 96 per cent.
Next year she starts a two-year training contract with Dickinson Dees to qualify as a solicitor.
Sarah Reader, 24, of Wetherby, won the DLA award for the highest combined mark in the business and commercial law part of the legal practice course.
She scored 87 per cent in the business law exam and 92 per cent in the commercial law exam.
She was educated at Wetherby High School and Durham University.
