PUPILS from a York primary school proved themselves quick on the draw in a city-wide competition.
Ewan Wild and Olivia Brown, pupils at Dringhouses Primary School, both scooped prizes in the art competition organised by the Poppleton Road Garden Centre. Ewan, aged nine, won the eight to 14-year-old category with his drawing of an owl, while six-year-old Olivia’s painting of a Robin ensured her a runner-up place in the three to seven-year-old section.
Both Olivia and Ewan will receive bird-themed prizes including a birdhouse, bird feeder and bird seed and both had their winning artwork framed.
