MITRE 'A' tightened their grip on the York Knavesmire Racing Darts League division one title with a stunning 8-1 win at Clifton 'B'.

Clifton took the opener with Lutz Leutzsch, but Simon Craven got Mitre 'A' on terms with a maximum for 18 plus 20. John Quantock closed on 102 for 21 and Dave O'Hara added a 21 as the visitors took the remainder.

Clifton 'A' defeated Mitre 'B' 7-2 with Martyn Turner out in 19 and 20 and Mark Hartley in 17. Ali Wray (17 and 18) got one back for the home side, then Clifton had Chris Thompson (17), John Smith (2 x 20), and Martin Waddington (21) sealing the win within the singles. Thompson (180) - Paul Brandon added a 23dart 701 leg.

Pack recorded their first win with a 5-4 win at Falcon. Dick Willoughby (21) and Kev Upton (2 x 20) got Pack off to a flying start while Daz Meek added a pairs maximum.

Phil Good-Pip Hair sealed a last game win for Huntington WMC against Palace. Earlier Hair put in a 20-darter and was well supported by Mick McLeod (180).

The top-of-the-table clash in division two, saw Edward VII take the honours 6-4 against Reindeer.

A 107 finish from Chris Bullen for 20 and 21 from Mark Miller got them on their way. Roger Pike added a 120 finish to give them a 4-0 lead. Reindeer hit back to make it 4-3 before Roger and Rich Pike clinched the winner.

Woolpack lead division three after a 7-3 victory at Mount but hard on their heels are Shoulder of Mutton who won by the same score against Beeswing. Russ Greaves closed on 102 for 21 and Derek Hartley gamed in 19 then added a 117 finish in his pairs.

Peter Storey's 21 helped Burton 'A' to the aggregate as they lost 5-4 to Lord Nelson.
