AS a frequent visitor to the battlefields of two world wars, and as an occasional writer and lecturer on military history, like most of us, I acknowledge the unbelievable sacrifices by Indian and Dominion troops made evident by the war cemetery headstones.
We today must hang our heads in shame. We have banned the import of New Zealand Anchor butter (the favoured brand in our household) at the behest of a German dairy.
