SUE Wallace asks "Why can't someone design a slim-line electric bus?" (Wider Monsters, letters, July 15). It has been done.
Those responsible for York's monster buses should take a trip to Newcastle where small, electric buses operate. Being electrically powered, they are totally non-polluting; and an overnight charge is sufficient to provide operation throughout the next day.
