Dunnington Football Club are aiming to expand their junior section after earning a £5,000 grant from the Football Foundation.
The funding boost will allow Dunnington to increase the number of coaches and teams, with plans to start a new girls’ team and add a further eight Level 1 and 2 coaches.
Duncan Griffiths, chairman of the club, said: “We have constantly strived to grow in a sustainable manner.
“This award complements the work carried out over recent years that has seen the club and its facilities grow with increased success in terms of participation and silverware.”
