SHOPPERS got more than they bargained for when they strolled through York and saw a semi-nude model on display in the city centre.
The model, part covered by a sheet to spare her blushes, posed in the window of ArtEstee, in Goodramgate, on Saturday as part of a life-drawing exercise.
Gallery and café owner Estee Roberts said:”I thought this would be a great way to get the public in.
“They could come and watch a nude model being painted and sketched in the front display and meet the artists, who each have work on show here – so it’ll help the artists promote their work too.
“I wanted the public to discover life drawing in a new light, experiencing, understanding and appreciating the naked body and how the artists capture the naked body.”
