HUNDREDS of proud students were receiving their degrees today – the third and final day of 2010 graduations at the University of York.

Ceremonies in Central Hall, on the Heslington campus, will see students collect degrees in a host of subjects and join one of Britain’s leading film and television directors, Ken Loach, who is being awarded an honorary degree.

Dr John Sentamu was presented with an honorary degree in a ceremony yesterday by the Provost of Vanbrugh College Rev Dr David Efird.
