A NEW watch retailer has brought a splash of orange to a York shopping street.
Time Out has opened its first store at 7 Colliergate, with plans to open five more shops across the country.
The shop sells fashion brands such as Guess, Casio and Storm, as well as providing a watch repairs and batteries service.
General manager Shazad Ajmal said: “Our concept is very funky, very edgy and very young. We’ve been open for about three weeks and trade has been fantastic.
“We were considering Manchester for our first store, but we felt it didn’t have the touristy feel to it that we wanted. We like the historic element to York.”
He said they hoped to recruit between three and four members of staff for the York shop.
