AN election debate has been organised for Selby.
Selby Churches Together is hosting a public debate involving the parliamentary candidates contesting the Selby and Ainsty seat at the General Election.
The debate will take place on Thursday, April 29, at 7.30pm at the Selby Methodist Church, in Portholme Road.
For the first hour of the evening, candidates will be asked to respond to set questions covering the key topics of the election, such as unemployment, the environment and education.
Following this, there will be a time for questions from the floor, with the event ending with refreshments.
Confirmed candidates are Nigel Adams (Conservative), Jan Marshall (Labour), Tom Holvey (Liberal Democrat) and Darren Haley (UKIP). Admission will be free and the event is open to any member of the public to attend.
