WHAT a morale-boosting experience the recent art exhibition in Parliament Street, York, was.
I was fortunate enough to have birthday money with which to buy a painting - and what a tonic it is. You know how you just fall instantly in love with a thing - or person - before you can say: "Starbucks coffee".
It was like that for me with this picture - although I would have liked to buy many more and keep thinking about them.
