Sun Inn have opened a four-point lead at the top of York Phoenix Monday Darts League division one after a 7-2 win against Mitre.

Jon O'Mara put in a 180 for 17 plus a 21-darter as Sun took all the singles with Gary Scott (18), Chris Thompson (19) and Tony Cooper with 18 and 19 wrapping up the win.

Ebor's Mark Hartley closed in 16 then Tony Raymond gamed in 17 to seal the win against Marcia, who had 20 from Steve Evans and Lee Brundrett in 21.

Shepherd SC were kept waiting by Clifton, who came back from 3-0 down to make it 3-2 with a win from John Holmes and 18 from Lutz Leutzsch, but Shepherd sealed the win through Mick Willsden with 21.

Acomb 'A' were stopped from recording a whitewash by Flag's Tom Hair. Acomb had superb 16 and 19 legs from Heath Scaife and he was well backed by Paul Botterill (16) and 21 from Keith Turner.

In division two, Falcon made it four out of four with a stunning 8-1 win against Anchor, whose only win came from Iain Richardson, while Edward VII had Roger Pike close on bull for 130 and Rich Pike out in 21 in their narrow win over Crescent WMC, who had Mark Chamberlain out in 20.

Alice Hawthorn had Chris Hall out in 20 and Kenny Poulter gaming on 111 for 18, but it was all in vain as Britannia (Acomb) had a maximum from Mike Harrison in their 6-3 victory.

Rob Platt was Slipper's match-winner against Gillygate, who had Paul Bartnett out in 19, while Geoff Kitson hit a maximum as he took Britannia (Tadcaster)'s only point against Holgate WMC.

At the top of divison three, Mount 'B' recorded a 7-2 win against Acomb 'B' with a maximum from Adie Shaw and a bull finish for 18 from Nick Harteveld while Bootham Tavern suffered a 7-2 defeat against Post Office Club, whose Geoff Laverack made a 96 finish for 17.

Daz Smith clinched Phoenix's last game win at Yearsley 'A' while Lord Nelson were defeated 7-2 at York City Supporters' Club.

Wenlock Arms took the last three games at Sun Inn to win 7-2.

Despite a depleted team, Flag 'B' went on to win 6-3 against Yearsley 'B'.

Mark Hartley and Lynn Thompson picked up player of the night awards at the John Smith's Mixed York Darts League finals.

The Cygnet duo teamed up to win the mixed pairs when they won the final against team-mates Kev Walton and Dawn Exton 2-0.

Hartley and Thompson took the match with a 20-dart 701 and Hartley also included a maximum 180.

Exton was also a runner-up in the blind mixed pairs when she and Steve Wade went down 2-1 to Martin Waddington (Leeman) and Sandra Bruce (Huntington).

The men's singles title was won by Pete Leake (Cueball), who took the decider in the final against Kev O'Hara (Huntington) in 16 darts.

Toni Smallwood (Leeman) included a 180 as she beat Michelle Britton (Cueball) 2-1 in the women's individual final.
