City of York Council shoots itself in the other foot.
After the complete chaos which the council got itself into over the relocation of the Arc Light Centre, you would have thought it would have learned something.
Oh, well, "where there's no sense, there's no feeling", I suppose. Now the city council proposes to flatten the Peasholme hostel and move its homeless occupants elsewhere ('Arc Two' Sparks New Row, May 20).
Why does it want to do this?
Because the city council intends to build its own offices on the site as part of the high-rise Hungate flats redevelopment.
What will the City of York Council get up to next?
New Walk Terrace,
York.
