Mick Fitzgerald, who has been riding at the top of his form this season, can enjoy double success at Chepstow tonight.

Fitzgerald broke a bone in his neck last summer, an injury which threatened his career, but he has made a remarkable recovery.

His fancied mounts tonight are Darasim (6.10) and Moon Catcher (7.10).

The former, previously a decent horse on the Flat, has had only two outings over hurdles but won the first of them at Carlisle before going down by two and a half lengths to Osfanni at Cheltenham at the end of October.

He has since been freshened-up by trainer Jonjo O'Neill and there is every chance that he can win the Sun Trade Windows Novices' Hurdle.

Moon Catcher would hardly need to improve much on his recent sound second place to Lorient Express at Exeter to go one better over this extra three furlongs.

Also worth noting at Chepstow is Nazimabad, who is fancied to follow up his recent gritty win at Hereford by taking tonight's Braceys 'The Friendly Builders' Merchant' Handicap Chase.

Readers taking advantage of the new early publication time of The Press should make a note of today's Nap selection, Mozakhraf.

Trained by Kevin Ryan at Hambleton, after having started life in Ireland with Kevin Prendergast, the four-year-old contests the betfredpoker.com Handicap (4.25) at Wolverhampton, which will be his first venture in handicap company.

Having shown plenty of promise in two outings for Ryan at the end of last season, Mozakhraf is expected to triumph under jockey Neil Callan.

Time should be right at Ripon

Set your clocks to Greenwich Meantime at Ripon tomorrow as Richard Fahey's recruit bids to score his second Yorkshire victory in the space of a week, writes Tom O'Ryan.

Formerly trained by the now-retired Lynda Ramsden, Greenwich Meantime made a triumphant debut for Fahey at Thirsk last Saturday when defying top weight over a virtually inadequate mile and a half.

He steps up to two miles tomorrow for the £20,000 totesport.com Handicap, Ripon's feature race.

Victory for the six-year-old would take him a step closer to getting a run in next month's Chester Cup, which Fahey feels would be a tempting target.

Tomorrow's Nap selection is another ex-Ramsden horse who has joined Fahey's Malton stable.

Halla San makes his debut for his new handler at Leicester in the Strongbow Sirrus Handicap and is selected to make a winning start to his campaign, just as his long-time stablemate Greenwich Meantime did last Saturday.
