Heworth 'A' team received the Carlsberg UK Snooker League championship trophy from Jessica Feather, sales development manager, at York Conservative Clubs' snooker, billiards and dominoes presentations at Bootham club.

She also presented the Faber Shield billiards trophy to champions Fulford.

Neil Wood (Heworth) received the North Wolds Printers highest break award from John Sykes for his 71 break. Richard Stroughair was runner-up with his 53 break.

Brian Shipley (Heworth) was awarded the Eric Darley Memorial Trophy from sponsors John and Mark Darley as the most valuable player in the Kutters and Shannons final.

Jason Keightley presented the John Smith's 'B' Team Cup to Heworth.

Bernard Willey, president of Bootham club, made the following presentations: the Willsden Steel Player of the Year award to Glen Mountain, who won all his 14 games, and runners-up awards to Richie Burdett, Steve Burdett and Barry Rankin; Pulleyn's Playmates Slater Cup trophy to champions Heworth 'C'; Cameo Engraving Billiards Player of the Year to joint winners Alf Appleby and Richard Stroughair; and the Cameo Engraving billiards highest break cup to four-times winner Ken Taylor (53 break).

Bootham's Danny Lambert received the Sam Smith's 5's and 3's League Championship cup from Nigel Crump on behalf of the 'A' team, who led the league for most of the season.

Lewis Willie was awarded the most dedicated player trophy by Colin Robinson, the Faber Shield chairman.
