JOINT-coach Paul Lumby is confident York Acorn ARLC have the wherewithal to continue their winning streak tonight (7.30pm).

The Blue and Golds visit Castleford Lock Lane as their National Conference division one fixture backlog begins to kick in, and Lumby, although wary of the threat posed by the hosts, is positive about their chances.

"This game and the one on Saturday, against Milford, are banana skins against teams lower than us in the table but if we play to our potential we would expect to win," he reasoned.

"The back-to-back fixtures and close proximity of the games could work against you but we will take it one game at a time and remain positive, and if we stick to how we have been playing and stick to the game plan, there is no reason why we can't pull off the two points."

Acorn - who Lumby said did not play all that well on Saturday, even though they hammered Askam 72-0 - will be without Mike Embleton, who injured a shoulder when scoring a try that day and could be out for a few weeks. But prop Lee McTigue returns and Scotland Students second-row James Morrow is also back.

Kick off is 7.30pm. Players are asked to meet at Thanet Road at 5.45pm.
