ACCOMPANYING your article on the local government workers' strike was a picture of a police woman photographing strikers at the rally in St Helen's Square, York, (March 29).
The strike was not unlawful; there were no reports of crimes committed during the rally; the strikers were merely exercising their democratic rights - so why were the police photographing them?
