Four goals from Huntington's Chris Dyson gave his side a 4-3 home win over Leeper Hare York and District League premier division hopefuls Thorpe United.

Dyson's first two goals were both headers, the first from a Pete Laidlow free-kick, the second from a Smith cross, and gave Huntington a two-goal advantage at the break.

Huntington went further in front before Alan Jackson pulled one back for Thorpe but then home 'keeper Tom Hare saved a penalty before Craig Whiteley made it 3-2.

Huntington's sixth game without defeat was virtually sealed with Dyson's fourth though Singleton grabbed a very late goal for Thorpe.

Kartiers suffered their first reverse in eight games as they went down to an excellent Dave Bell goal at Old Malton. T&L Selby were beaten by a Nigel Allen strike at home to Malton Bacon Factory.

Division one leaders Heslington suffered their first defeat in ten games as they were beaten 2-1 at Hamilton Panthers, Steve Gagen scoring both. The downside was an injury to Paul King, who will be out for the remainder of the season.

Third-placed Norwich Union lost their first game in six as they went down 4-2 at Easingwold where Ross Hardy opened the scoring for the hosts with a 30-yard screamer. Matt Hildon levelled from the penalty spot but two goals from Andrew Metcalfe junior and a Mark Hutchins effort set up a comfortable win for Easingwold. Richard Hunter added a late goal for Norwich.

Ouseburn snatched a point at Amotherby with a Richard Dwight equaliser which cancelled out Tom Moorcroft's early goal.

Tom Robinson scored New Earswick's first away goal in almost five hours but Elvington ran out 5-2 winners with goals from Adam Hetherton, Luke Dove (2) and Tom Hovington (2).
