I READ with interest North Yorkshire Chief Constable's perception of the public's view on policing (March 14).
She said: "It was encouraging that so many people felt safe at home and at work."
Yes, of course they do because they would rather not be out on the streets among a lawless society with little policing.
How is it ma'am that you always manage to twist what people are actually saying to suit what you would rather hear? Mind you, I'm not too surprised when the questions were phrased in such a way that the answer required was sure to be the one you wanted. I did point this out on the questionnaire because I had a feeling that we were being led into this trap.
