BEACON, the York-based procurement arm of Best Western hotels, has introduced a new "one stop shop" for the independent hospitality trade.
Its new "Beacon Direct" online and mail order service will ensure that its more than 2,000 members can buy day-to-day hospitality supplies direct from the organisation in Clifton Moor.
It means that towels, bedding, bathroom products, toiletries and other essentials are just a mouse click or phone call away.
Beacon Direct will operate alongside Beacon's established purchasing services for major items such as catering supplies, utilities, services and refurbishments which members purchase at preferential rates through a list of nominated suppliers.
However, members will now be able to find all their essentials in one place - by browsing the website www.beacondirect.co.uk or the Beacon Direct catalogue - then place an order online, by telephone or fax and have their goods delivered straight to their door.
Beacon is so confident about its deals, that it is also offering a price match guarantee.
Claire Bennett, Beacon's marketing manager, said: "We are constantly looking for ways to make the purchasing process easier for our members and to provide the best value for money we can.
"Beacon Direct is a further step towards this, and we hope introducing this service, which will allow members to order quickly and cost-effectively, will help to build on our success as a business."
