YOUNG Fulford gymnast Jemma Evenett is jumping for joy.
The eight-year-old has just been crowned club grade five champion of Yorkshire.
Jemma, a pupil at St Oswald's School, gained an overall mark of 45.586 to beat off the challenge of 53 other top gymnasts throughout the county at Dewsbury Sports Centre.
The City of Leeds Morley Gymnastics member scored 9.2 for her vault, bars 9.17, beam 8.366, floor 9.4 and conditioning 9.45 which was just enough to take the top prize from the Greenhead Club's Amy Foreman.
Jemma, from Main Street, Fulford, trains nearly eight hours a week at Morley and first took up the sport at the age of three.
