SO property prices are expected to rise by 60 to 70 per cent in the next five years in York (March 1).
With the possibility that next year's local council elections may be postponed, coupled with the total ban on smoking in pubs and clubs, I bet Messrs Galloway and Co are rubbing their hands with glee and awaiting the rush of planning applications for massive apartment blocks and flats to be built on sites formerly occupied by the aforesaid pubs and clubs.
May the lord have mercy on us all.
